He is small but doesn’t need coddling and his mischievous face will soon wiggle the hearts of men, women, and especially children, for whom this pug seems to have a special affinity.

The main reason for his life is to be close to his people and to please them. He is comfortable both in a small apartment and in a country house. Whereas, he can easily adapt to any situation.

History and Origin:
The pugs are originally from China. In the 16th century, they were brought from China to Europe and were popularized in Western Europe. In the United Kingdom, Queen Victoria developed a passion for pugs in the 19th century, which she passed on to other members of the British royal family.

They were a favorite of the ladies and kids in particular. In 1885, The American Kennel Club (AKC) registered the first Pug. He can suffer from separation anxiety if he is alone for long periods of time. The Pug remains a hugely popular dog breed all around the world.

Physical Characteristics:
According to The American Kennel Club (AKC), pugs are a toy group and The United Kennel Club (UKC), pugs are a companion dog. It weighs between 14 to 18 pounds (14 to 18 lbs) both male and female. Generally, the male pug can rise up to 14 to 18 inches tall at the shoulder level.
